This is a cast composed entirely of digitizations of 45s. None of them are from my collection, I'll do a cast like that soon. These are mostly songs that I've gleaned from other superfans of the sweetest original expression of Jamaican music in this medium.
Part II of the podcasticization of my radio show.
Count on Rude Roots to take you back to Jamaican music's roots. This time we take it back even further than before. Calypso. Mento. Doo-wop beats with banjoes and pianos. I think you'll like it.
Note: I am not to be credited with the playlist except for the last two tracks. This cast was produced mainly so members of my band could listen to some good calypso chunes.
A Rude Roots Dot Com interview with Brian Dixon of the Aggrolites. Respeck to Brian and the Aggrolites for givng Rude Roots this interview. It has taken me a while to post it.
Check it out y'all...due to some very evil legislation aimed at making the rich richer and further disenfranchising the artists who originally created the work, live365 just got $500.00 more expensive for me to broadcast with. So, I am moving my entre ten hour radio show to podcasts beginning right f'ing now. Enjoy.
